Artificial turf takes the weekly mowing and watering off your plate. But over a few seasons, life happens on it. Dogs use it. Leaves pile up. Pollen settles in. Spills, dust, and foot traffic work their way down into the blades and the base. None of that means your turf is failing. It means it’s getting used, which is the whole point.
A professional deep clean brings it back.
Cleaner blades, fresher feel underfoot, and a yard you’re glad to walk out into again.
We’re Lone Star Turf. We’ve been installing turf across Central Texas for years, and now we clean and maintain it too, whether we installed it or not.

What a professional cleaning actually covers
Here’s everything we do when we show up. No mystery, no upsells bolted on at the end.
Deep clean and debris removal. We clear out leaves, dirt, dust, and anything else that’s collected in and under the turf. The stuff a leaf blower can’t reach.
Vacuum extraction. We use commercial equipment to pull buildup out from down in the fibers. This is the part homeowners are always surprised by. You’d be amazed at what comes up, even from turf you thought was clean.
Pet odor treatment and sanitization. If you’ve got dogs, you know the smell sneaks up on you, especially in summer. We treat and sanitize the surface to neutralize odor at the source instead of covering it up.
Moss and weed removal. Weeds find their way in around edges and seams over time. Moss can take hold in shadier, damp spots. We pull it, treat it, and clean the affected areas.
Brushing and refresh. Matted, flattened blades get groomed back up so the turf stands tall and looks closer to the day it went in.
Straightforward pricing, like everything else we do
Most turf companies make you chase them for a number. We don’t.
Cleaning starts at $250, with pricing based on your turf area at $0.25 per square foot. The larger the project, the better the rate, so bigger yards get volume pricing rather than a flat per-foot charge straight across.
We’ll give you the full number before we start. No surprise line items, no “well, it turned out to be more once we got here.” If we run into something that changes the scope, you hear about it before we do the work, not after.

Why hire it out instead of doing it yourself
You can absolutely rinse your turf and run a brush over it on a Saturday. Plenty of our customers do, and we’re happy to tell you how. Where the pros earn their keep is the deep extraction: the buildup packed down in the fibers and the base layer that a hose and a push broom won’t touch. That’s the part that brings odor, holds debris, and makes turf look tired before its time. Different equipment, different result.
If you want it knocked out right, by people who install this stuff every day and know how it’s built, that’s us.
How often should turf be professionally cleaned?
For most yards, once or twice a year does it. If you have multiple dogs, heavy foot traffic, or a lot of trees dropping onto the turf, lean toward twice a year. Light-use yards can often stretch to once. When we come out, we’ll give you an honest read on what your specific yard needs. If you don’t need us back for a while, we’ll tell you that too.

Serving Austin, San Antonio, and the surrounding areas
We clean and maintain turf across Austin, San Antonio, Lakeway, New Braunfels, and the communities in between. Residential yards, pet areas, commercial installs, putting greens, and pool surrounds. If it’s turf, we can service it.
Didn’t install with us? Doesn’t matter. We’ll treat your turf like it’s our own work.
